Open Studio - Days/Times Vary

Service Description

Dates and times vary for this service to try to meet the schedules of our members and guests. See our booking calendar below for weekly sessions. If you'd like to see a session offered on a specific day/time, please contact us and we'll be happy to try to accommodate you. Join us in the Catalyst classroom and make use of our supplies while you work on a new or ongoing project or try something new! No formal instruction is provided, but there will be a host in each session to answer general questions. Catalyst members receive FREE sessions as a thank you for supporting our programs! Here is a sampling of the supplies available each session: - Collage materials for junk & slam journals, visual journaling (magazines, books, stamps, scraps, decorative papers, tape, embellishments, etc.) - Watercolor (cake, tube, liquid, salt, brushes, palettes, student grade paper included) - Acrylic paint (brushes, palettes, bring your own canvas or use our paper) - Printmaking tools (carving tools, brayers, inking plates, rice paper, bring your own linoleum/woodblock and ink) - Chalk/oil pastels and paper - Pencils/charcoal/crayons/markers/permanent markers/erasers/sharpeners - Paper making press - Craft supplies, as available (fibers, found objects, felt, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, etc.) - Rulers/straight edges/stencils/texture plates - Glue/tape/hot glue/staplers/scissors/x-acto knives/cutting mat - Paper cutters/staple gun - Large format professional mat cutter - Tabletop and floor easels/stools/tables/chairs - Laminating machine (letter size - limited to 5 sheets per session, or bring your own pouches for unlimited use) - Art library for research, reference and inspiration - Additional mediums and supplies as available (Donations of unwanted supplies are always welcome!) Additional supplies may be available for purchase. We are unable to store materials/projects, so please be prepared to take everything home with you at the end of each session. Ages 18+. Proper care with materials and help cleaning up is expected from all open studio participants. You may want to bring: - A project you're working on/your favorite supplies you may want to use and/or share with others - An apron/clothes you can get messy - Your own music and earbuds - Layered clothing, as the temperatures may be difficult to manage in the building - Water bottle Water, hot tea, and coffee are also available for a small donation. Scholarships are not available for open studio.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule, please contact us within 48 hours of your event time. Refunds will not be issued unless we have received proper notice of cancellation. :)
