Teen Pottery & Sculpture Camp, 8/4-8/6

3-day Pottery Camp: Tue - Thur, August 4 - August 6, 1:00pm - 4:00pm Beginner-intermediate; Ages 11-17 During this unique Summer Art Camp, students will work on several different projects of their choosing while practicing different methods for building in clay. Students at a beginner level will be guided through several projects that explore different construction techniques. More advanced students may choose to focus on methods of their choice. All students will have a chance to hand-build and use the pottery wheel during the camp, and will be given a pass to return after all pieces are dry and fired so they may glaze them. Your camp registration includes access to: - Guidance through the process of building your pieces - Tools/wheels/glazes - Kiln firing by our instructors outside of camp hours *Clay may be brought, or purchased from our website or in the studio (5lbs for $7 or 25lbs for $25 plus tax)* Please bring with you: - Clothes that can get dirty, and/or an apron Cat Clay Studio Notes & Agreements: *Long nails are not recommended for this activity *Pieces that have just been made are typically not able to be trimmed or glazed *Pieces typically take about 2 weeks to be fired, and should be picked up within two months of being fired
