Service Description

One-day workshop: Monday, October 6, 11:00am - 12:30pm Ages 15+ PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING WITH YOU: - Your mixing bowl of choice - Apron (optional) In this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop, you'll mix a simple dough (*with a starter provided in-class*), learn how to feed and care for your starter, and get a clear understanding of the sourdough process from beginning to end. Try some fresh sourdough during this workshop, and learn how to maintain your starter, make (hands on) and shape dough, and helpful tips for successful baking. You'll go home with the dough we start together, recipes, and some helpful tips and troubleshooting for successful baking. *A take-home starter to keep can be purchased for $5 from your instructor during/after class! You’ll also have the chance to ask questions in a casual Q&A! About your instructor: Rachel has been a baker her whole life, and has spent the last several years mastering sourdough. Baking bread is second nature to Rachel, and she went from feeding her family and friends to feeding customers while managing a sourdough bakery in the Treasure Valley. She has taken a step back from professional baking to focus on her family, but still shares the art of sourdough by teaching others.
