Homeschool Pottery Basics - 5/1-22 - 1pm

Service Description

4-week course: Wednesdays, May 1 - May 22, 1:00pm - 3:00pm Beginner to Advanced, Ages 9-13 Ceramics teach a number of a valuable skills, including perseverance, patience, problem solving, and creativity! Bring your kiddos in to learn how to use this fun medium to create functional and decorative pieces--perfect for homeschooled students! We'll alternate between learning the basics of handbuilding, wheel throwing, and glazing to give your kids and teens the full clay experience! Each student will proudly come out of class with at least one or two ceramic pieces that they built themselves. Ceramic artist and experienced teacher, Casey Gurr, will facilitate this class. Intermediate students will learn new tricks and improve the quality of their wares. All supplies are included! Please bring the following with you: - Apron (recommended) or clothes that can get dirty Optional: - Layered clothing, as the temperature sometimes fluctuates in our building - Water/beverage with lid **Long nails are not recommended for this activity Scholarships for this and all of our other classes are available for those who otherwise would not be able to attend art classes, thanks to generous donations to our Art Start Fund.
