Cat Clay Open Studio - Wheel Reservation

Service Description

Members and non-members can book a 3-hour open studio session in the Cat Clay Studio to work on projects independently. You will have access to tools, wheels, and glazes. All participants in open studio must have ample clay experience and be able to work independently unless booking with optional private instruction. Beginners may sign up with the private instruction option to gain skills needed to work independently in the future. MEMBERS: Private instruction is not included in membership. Please speak with a Cat Clay team member to add instructional time to your session. There will be a Cat Clay staff member available in all sessions to provide support, but no instruction is provided unless instruction is also booked. Participants are responsible for their own clay, which may be purchased from our website or in the studio. Limited spaces are available for wheel and handbuilding and are booked separately. Cat Clay Members: - Firing is included for up to 1 shelf worth of items per month (approximately 36" x 12" x 12"). - Cat Clay members receive up to 6 hours of open studio time per week included in their membership fee. Additional hours may be booked at an additional charge. - Members have up to two shelves assigned to them for supplies, clay, and wares. Limited lockers are available for rent for additional storage space and may be shared with others, if you like. Lockers can be rented from our website, when available, and are first come, first served. - Finished glazed projects must be taken home within 2 weeks after final firing. Non-members: - Firing is available for a nominal firing fee based on size. Pick-up for projects is generally 1-2 weeks after glaze firing. All projects must be picked up within 2 weeks after firing. - All supplies, clay, projects, etc. must be taken with you at the end of your open studio session. We are unable to store non-member items at this time. Bring with you: - clothes that can get dirty - water/beverage in container with spill-proof lid - layered clothing, as the temperatures can fluctuate in our large building All studio rules must be followed at all times for everyone's safety. Any participant who is misusing/abusing equipment, stealing or tampering with Cat Clay/other participant's items without permission will lose the privilege of using our facility without refunds. Play nice. :) Scholarships are not available for open studio time, but may be applied for towards our classes.
