Beginner/Interm. Wheel - 5/20-5/27 - 10a

Service Description

2-week course: Mondays, May 20 - May 27, 10:00am - 1:00pm Ages 10+ This wheel throwing class is adaptable for beginning and intermediate level students. This class will teach you how to create small pots, bowls and cups using the potters wheel. Guided instruction from professional artist and experienced educator, Casey Gurr, will help students throw their own pieces with growing confidence. Students will fire and keep many of their own pieces. Warning: Addictive. Intermediate students will learn new tricks and improve the quality of their wares. All supplies are included--although clay must be purchased separately. Please bring the following with you: - Apron (recommended) or clothes that can get dirty Optional: - Layered clothing, as the temperatures are sometimes difficult to manage in our large building - Water/beverage with lid **Long nails are not recommended for this activity Scholarships for this and all of our other classes are available for those who otherwise would not be able to attend art classes, thanks to generous donations to our Art Start Fund.
