1-day workshop: Sat, April 25, 1:00pm - 3:00pm Ages 11+ Learn the basics of floral arranging in this beginner-friendly workshop, which will provide an opportunity to learn about different types of flowers and arrangements, understand how to prep and care for various flowers, and practice using essential floral tools. It will also touch on color selection, structure, and how arrangement styles vary depending on the occasion. This unique class is perfect for anyone curious about the art of floral design or looking to create thoughtful, handmade arrangements. All supplies will be provided by either Catalyst or your instructor. Optional to bring: - Scissors - Flower clippers About your instructor: Anita Frump has been a certified professional floral designer for over 25 years. She has always enjoyed crafting and creating floral arrangements as a hobby. In 2000, she decided to stay home with her newborn child and–with her mother’s help–started her own floral business. For Anita, arranging flowers is about more than just beauty and fragrance; it’s also a calming, restorative practice that helps you appreciate the beauty in the world around you. In her class, you’ll learn the basic fundamentals of floral structure, explore a variety of flowers and color combinations, and create a simple cube arrangement to take home.
