My love for macramé started in my teens when I found a handful of 70's macramé design books which provided me with some amazing one-of-a-kind projects. I used the typical jute cord to create large 70's inspired plant hangers and since then, I've dabbled in all sorts of art forms including photography, ceramics, oil painting, interior design, welding, screen-printing, and jewelry making. I came back to macramé when I had an opportunity to create pieces as a vendor in a local venue. I call this new style "modern macrame" which incorporates natural cotton cord, natural elements like driftwood and crystals, fun beads, and a mixture of old school and new style designs.
I consider my art an ever-evolving craft that draws from my love of nature, the beautiful Idaho mountains, my family and friends, and my science background. My goal is to create beautiful, aesthetic, and functional one-of-a-kind handcrafted macramé for everyone.
