frankie sims, who markets her work as frankie sims art, has been working as a full-time artist for the past few years. She has created art since childhood, but maintained other work as well, including as a journalist in Los Angeles and most recently, in medicine, in the field of mental wellness. That’s what she says has most inspired her work, which is primarily expressionist, abstract painting.

During the course of the past year, she has also developed a new process of creating fine art using photographs and digital painting, each work created as one-of-a-kind fine art piece. Frankie’s work can be found on display in Boise an Nampa, as well as in her Heart in Art Studio Gallery in Garden City and at
Catalyst Arts Collaborative. She has had pieces honored in special judged and juried exhibitions at the Riverside Hotel with both the Treasure Valley Artists Association, TVAA, and the Idaho Watercolor Society, IWS. She also had a full-time fabric art business in Kauai, prior to moving back to the mainland and now
to Boise.

Frankie can offer commission work, and individual to small group lessons on intuitive, meditative, free-flow drawing and painting, that can help you overcome your fear of a blank page. She uses watercolors, ink, acrylics, watercolor pencils, and other mediums, including digital painting. She is also available for writing projects.
