Aryssa Hutchins

Satoita is the alias of Aryssa Hutchins, a visual artist exploring alternate realities through the study of the human form. The works typically emanate strong feeling and energy. Their current body of work is centered around legendary bassist Cliff Burton and his supernatural influence. Satoita primarily uses oil paint, charcoal, and gouache but will try anything at least once.

Satoita earned a BFA from Boise State University in 2016. Their work has been exhibited at many venues in Boise, as well as venues in Woodstock, Illinois, and Laguna Beach, California. They were a part of the Swell Artist Collective, which put on numerous exhibitions including Art Deck-O. Satoita has been a featured artist at The Boise Goathead Festival and is currently an instructor with The Catalyst Arts Collaborative.
