Service Description

2-week course - 3 hours each week - Wednesdays, November 29 - December 6 - 10:00am - 1:00pm NOTE: All sessions after October 18 will be held at our new location, at 6427 W Ustick Rd. (Boise) Ages 10+ This wheel throwing course is perfect for beginner to intermediate-level students who are ready to learn how to go beyond basic cups and bowls. Through both guided and self-directed instruction, students will learn techniques like pulling tall and large forms, adding handles, trimming feet, as well as methods for creating plates, donuts, stacking and distorting forms, and lots of decorating techniques. Our experienced Cat Clay teacher, Casey, knows many more techniques than a 2-week course allows, so if you choose to take this course more than once, you'll learn new tips and tricks every time! We'll fire your pieces for you after the second session, so you'll return after the course ends to pick up your fired artwork. Please bring with you: - Clothes that can get dirty - Water/beverage in container with spill-proof lid - Layered clothing, as the temperatures can fluctuate in our large building All studio rules must be followed at all times for everyone's safety. Scholarships for this and all of our other classes are available for those who otherwise would not be able to attend art classes, thanks to generous donations to our Art Start Fund.
