Gargoyles, Monsters, Dragons - 10/4 - 4p

Service Description

4-week course - Wednesdays, October 4 - 25 - 4:00 - 6:00pm Ages 10+ You will be guided through design considerations and the assembly process of your gargoyles, monsters, and/or dragons by talented and experienced clay artist, Casey Gurr. Learn the ins and outs of creating bold and interesting pieces of sculpture using various additive and subtractive techniques. After all kiln firings are complete, you’ll likely leave the Cat Clay studio with 1-3 finished projects. While previous ceramic handbuilding experience is helpful, it is not a required prerequisite for this course. Open to all experience levels. Please bring with you: - Clothes that can get dirty - Water/beverage in container with spill-proof lid - Layered clothing, as the temperatures can fluctuate in our large building - (Optional) Photos for inspiration All studio rules must be followed at all times for everyone's safety. Scholarships for this and all of our other classes are available for those who otherwise would not be able to attend art classes, thanks to generous donations to our Art Start Fund.
