Digital Art with Procreate, 1/15, 6:30pm

Service Description

1-day workshop: Thursday, January 15, 6:30pm - 8:30pm Ages 11+ If you’ve been curious about how to make the leap into digital art, this class is for you! In this beginner-friendly, 2-hour workshop, you’ll learn the basics of the iPad app Procreate and the foundations of digital art, including how to use layers, the color picker, and brushes. The class will work through a simple illustration together to learn the workflow of drawing in a digital program, and then you will have some time to experiment on your own and get personalized tips and tricks from an experienced digital artist. Students must bring their own iPad and compatible Apple Pencil. Some prior experience with drawing is recommended, but not required! Please bring the following supplies with you: - IPad and Apple Pencil (any generation) with Procreate installed All other materials will be provided by your instructor or by Catalyst. About your instructor: Theo Kitsinger is a multimedia illustrator, animator, and comic artist. They have a BFA in Fine Arts from Tufts University, and are currently based in Boise where they are growing their career as a freelance artist while moonlighting as an NPC shopkeep from a fantasy game. They have a decade of experience in drawing, both on paper and digitally, and can’t wait to put those skills to use teaching art classes here at the Cat.
