1-day class: Saturday, March 9, 12:00pm - 1:30pm Ages 18+ Welcome to Creative Connections: Exploring Emotional Intelligence Through Expressive Arts. This class will be an artistic adventure through our personal and collective experiences. Using a poetic blend of dialogue prompts, journaling, and collage, we will journey through stories of self-discovery and community relationships. Together, we will foster an awakening of emotional intelligence, compassion, and authenticity. Our stories are more than just words; they're doorways to the raw, messy, and beautiful experiences that make us who we are. Guided by Janelle Wilson, certified Social Emotional Arts instructor, we will weave our narratives into a tapestry of support and understanding. We'll uncover the threads that bind us all; a beautiful chaos of resilience, struggle, and triumph. No prior artistic experience is required for this expressive arts offering. Materials will be provided, however, you are welcome to supplement with a personal journal for writing or art-making, and magazines (or other print materials) and photos for collaging. Optional items to bring: - Layered clothing, as the temperatures may fluctuate in the building - Bottled water/beverage with spill-proof lid Scholarships for this and all of our other classes are available for those who otherwise would not be able to attend art classes, thanks to generous donations to our Art Start Fund. If you would like to make classes available to others, see our sponsorships page to contribute a monthly or one-time donation. Thank you for supporting (y)our commUNITY!
