4-week course - Wednesdays,October 26 - November 16 - 6:00-7:00pm Looking to bring your creative passion into the real world? Maybe you’re aiming to polish your professional approach as an artist. Either way, this career development course is ideal for anyone working in a creative field. With an emphasis on beginning and emerging artists, this course has four parts: personal growth, community outreach, professional materials, and time management. Together we will explore these topics through the provided workbook, which is loaded with vital exercises and resources to help you on your journey to personal success. By the end of this course, you should have the foundational skills needed to build your career as a creative professional with confidence. Professional artist, Abigail Egan, will be your facilitator for this class. All supplies are provided. Bring something for taking notes and a writing utensil for participating in assignments. This class may be rescheduled if a minimum of 3 participants is not reached, in which case you'll be notified via email. Open to ages 18 and up. This course will meet in suite 201 of the Gem Center for the Arts, just around the corner from our new classroom space on the 2nd floor. Scholarships for this and all of our other classes are available for those who otherwise would not be able to attend art classes, thanks to generous donations to our Art Start Fund.
