Create Clay Creatures - 10/19 - 2pm

Service Description

One-day workshop: Saturday, October 19, 2:00pm - 6:00pm (See "Classes" page for a workshop on 10/5 as well!) Ages 10+ Create otherworldly creatures and monsters of your own design! Beginner and advanced clay artists alike will be guided through the design considerations and assembly process by experienced Cat Clay teacher, Casey. Learn the dos and dont's of creating strong and interesting pieces of sculpture with various additive and subtractive techniques. You’ll likely leave with 1-3 finished projects, after all kiln firings are complete. All supplies are included, but you are responsible for your own clay, which may be purchased from our website or in the studio ($7 for 5lbs or $22 for 25lbs plus tax). Please bring the following with you: - Apron (recommended) or clothes that can get dirty **Long nails are not recommended for this activity Optional items to bring: - Layered clothing - Spill-proof water - Photos for inspiration Scholarships for this and all of our other classes are available for those who otherwise would not be able to attend art classes, thanks to generous donations to our Art Start Fund.
