Beginner Clay Experience- 12/11 & 18-10a

Service Description

2-week course - 3 hours each week - Mondays, December 11 & 18 - 10am - 1pm Ages 10+ Our two-week crash course will give you just a taste of wheel throwing and/or handbuilding, and glazing, just enough to come out of the experience with a functional or decorative piece (or several) made with your own hands. Week one will focus on making forms with clay. Week two will be glazing your piece and preparing it for the kiln. Then you'll come back to pick up your finished piece after firing. Professional artist, Casey Gurr, will be your host. All materials are included. Just register and show up! Perfect for bestie days, team building, homeschool groups, or just to support your growth mindset! Please bring with you: - clothes that can get dirty - water/beverage in container with spill-proof lid - layered clothing, as the temperatures can fluctuate in our large building All studio rules must be followed at all times for everyone's safety. Any participant who is misusing/abusing equipment, stealing or tampering with Cat Clay/other participant's items without permission will lose the privilege of using our facility without refunds. Play nice. :) Scholarships for this and all of our other classes are available for those who otherwise would not be able to attend art classes, thanks to generous donations to our Art Start Fund.
