Saturday, December 2 - 2:00 pm - 6:30pm Ages 17+ Learn everything you need to know about artist residencies from experienced artist--and Surel's Place Artist-in-Residence--Willow Wells. After covering a summary of what an artist residency is, this intensive workshop will explain where to find them, how to receive funding, and tips for navigating deadlines. You'll learn how to navigate writing your required materials, including your artist statement, biography, project proposals, and community engagement, before ending the workshop with a portfolio discussion. You'll even leave the Cat with a list of fully-funded residencies, and resources!
