Service Description

4-week course - Mondays, October 17 - November 7 - 6:00-7:30pm Learn how to capture the beauty and essence of animals, from wildlife to pets, in your drawings. We will focus our practice on capturing correct anatomy, proportions, techniques for representing fur and ways to show expression and personality. Particular emphasis will be spent on exercises to represent eyes. Professional artist and educator, Lisa Hlavinka, will be your guide. This class is open to beginner, intermediate and advanced students. Basic drawing skills are a plus, but not required. Ages 15+ Bring to following with you: (Supplies can be provided by Catalyst for anyone who is unable to provide their own. Please add your request in the accommodations section when registering.) - 9 x 12 drawing pad with 60lb paper or greater - Set of pencils that includes 2H, 4H, 2B, 4B - Mechanical pencil with 0.5 or 0.7 lead - Gray kneaded eraser Optional: - Layered clothing, as temperatures may vary in classroom - Water bottle This class may be rescheduled if a minimum of 3 participants is not reached. We will contact you via email in this case.
