"Footprints: Leaving Our Mark"
Catalyst Arts Collaborative is hosting a fundraiser for our Art Start fund. All pieces will be auctioned during the Gem Center for the Arts' grand re-opening gala on May 19, 6-9pm. Artists are encouraged to attend and bring friends. Proceeds from the sale of artwork will be split 50/50 between the artists and our Art Start fund. 100% of this fund goes directly back to the community in the form of scholarships and paid opportunities for working artists. We will also host an upcycled/recycled fashion show, several performance acts, resident artists in their studios, as well as additional artist booths. We will do lots of marketing for this event, which will include press releases. The Lounge at the End of the Universe is graciously hosting our event in their lovely space within the Gem Center. Artwork will be hung throughout our 24,000 square-foot facility. Open to all artists in and around the Treasure Valley, as we hope to showcase the wide variety of artists in (y)our community. Performing artists are welcome to submit high quality photos of their shows, as well. We will incorporate a strong message of art advocacy and support for artists in the community.
Submission: All mediums welcome, ideally 12x12" to serve as each artist's "footprint." Open to other sizes, up to 24x36". Must be ready to hang securely with wire. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces of their choosing. $5-$35 sliding scale entry fee to help us cover hanging costs and promotion for the event. Please pay what you are able. Artists are also welcome to enter a piece without paying an entry fee if they are donating 100% of the sale to the Art Start Fund.

Show will be hung: May 16-18
Event Date: Thursday, May 19 - 6-9pm
Artwork pick-up: Any artwork not sold can be retrieved at Catalyst Arts Collaborative on Friday, May 27 between 10am-2pm or by appointment. Work not collected by May 31 will be considered abandoned and may be sold or donated at a future event.

In addition to submitting a piece above, you may request an artist booth for our May 19 fundraiser gala to show and sell more of your work! Space is limited.
Each artist accepted will be given a space of approximately 50 square feet (i.e. 8x6ish). $35 booth fee. No additional fees or commission required.
Set up time: 3-5pm
Event time: 6-9pm
Deadline to apply: April 30
Artists in booths are asked to stay for the entire event. Booth sharing is allowed.
Be sure to include all participating artists on your registration form.
Select artists may be chosen to display their work on a long-term basis within the Gem Center for the Arts.
Artwork on exhibit must be available for purchase. Catalyst Arts Collaborative will handle sales inquiries on your behalf, and will receive a commission of 25%, of which 10% will be donated to our Art Start fund. This fund benefits (y)our community by providing scholarships and paid opportunities for working artists.
